Marin Magazine Dream Kitchens
This delicious room looks and feels like it's in a French country chateau, but
it's really a remodeled 1920s Mediterranean-style home in California. The current
(October/November) issue of Marin Magazine features the impeccably detailed kitchen of a home Linda remodeled from the
ground up in the San Francisco Bay Area town of Belvedere ("French Toast", p.
92-93). The faux-painted walls provide a warm glow, a large black kitchen island
topped with distressed onyx anchors the light palette and echos the black Lacanche
range. Fleur-de-lys tiles, curvy corbels, a newly electrified antique French chandelier
and an ochre concrete farm sink add to the grand illusion. Additional photos of

The Cottages of Napa Valley
Linda's latest design project in Yountville, California, is now complete and
open for business. Eight historic cottages have been completely redone in an updated
farmhouse fashion, with chunky king-sized four-poster beds, colorful vintage-look
fabrics, boldly painted furniture and luxurious bed and window coverings. Sumptuous
bathrooms have large showers, giant oval soaking tubs and double trough concrete
sinks. Each room is different, with Linda's whimsical touches everywhere. Weathervanes
on roofs, porch swings on decks, milk bucket trashcans and pitchforks on walls
all add up to an unusual ambiance unlike anything in Napa Valley. For information
